Marcus Margerum will join Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB) as vice president, government and community affairs.
Margerum most recently served as vice president, marketing & communications for Atlanta Hall Management - College Football Hall of Fame and Chick-fil-A Fan Experience where he provided strategic direction to maximize marketing and communications efforts to drive awareness and revenue for the new Hall.

Prior to his post with Atlanta Hall Management, Margerum spent seven years as vice president of marketing & sales for Zoo Atlanta. There, he led the marketing, membership, public relations & communications and multi-media departments and managed more than 55 percent of the organization’s annual operating budget.
Margerum began his career in the corporate sector, managing brands for SC Johnson Wax and L’Oreal USA. He also served as brand strategy consultant with the Zyman Group, where he analyzed client marketing issues to provide solutions and growth strategies for Fortune 500 clients.
He is a past president of Hospitality Industry Professionals (HIP) Atlanta, an organization dedicated to the growth of diverse leadership in Atlanta’s hospitality industry. Margerum is also past marketing committee chair for the Association of Zoos and Aquariums and former chair of ACVB’s Attractions Task Force.
