ACVB Welcomes New Destination Sales Manager
The Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB) has hired Tricia Vecchio as its new destination sales manager. Vecchio’s role at ACVB includes generating leads and booking conventions and trade shows that require more than 1,200 hotel rooms on peak. She will conduct site visits for clients and work closely with remote sales team members in the Chicago and Washington, D.C. markets to showcase Atlanta as the ideal convention destination.
Vecchio joins ACVB with experience in both destination marketing and hotel sales. Most recently, Vecchio worked at the InterContinental Los Angeles where she served as Sales Manager for domestic and international business and leisure travel, specializing in the China market. She earned the title of top revenue-producing sales manager in 2014.
Vecchio began her hospitality career with Tourico Holidays, an international wholesale travel company, where she spent more than three years serving as a product manager overseeing various hotel portfolios in New Orleans, Nashville, Los Angeles and Anaheim. She worked closely with the sales and marketing teams to drive incremental revenue to hotel partners while marketing her hotel territories.
Vecchio received her B.A. in Anthropology from Rollins College in Winter Park, Fla. It was during her studies that her interest in people and cultures evolved and her personal passion for travel began. She has worked closely with CVB partners in all of her past roles and is excited for the opportunity to join the ACVB team and work with the collaborative Atlanta hospitality community.
