Just two weeks remain to cast your vote for Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau’s (ACVB) second annual cocktail contact, “Battle of the Bottles.” This year’s theme commemorates the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Atlanta and celebrates the 75th anniversary of the film premiere of Gone With The Wind by asking 76 participating ACVB restaurant and nightlife members to answer the question, “what would Rhett drink today?”
Battle of the Bottles began Thursday, April 24, and will continue through Monday, May 26. Residents and visitors are encouraged to taste the limited-time cocktails and vote for their favorites at atlanta.net/battleofthebottles.
The winning cocktail will be announced at ACVB’s Connect event on June 18 at Opera Nightclub. The grand prize includes $2,014 and a free ACVB membership for one year. The winner will also be featured in Atlanta Now magazine and will be recognized at the Atlanta Hospitality Hall of Fame induction event in November.
Battle of the Bottles is managed by ACVB’s restaurant committee, which is led by Cindy Shera, owner of The Shed at Glenwood, and Stuart Fierman, director of operations at Fifth Group Restaurants. The restaurant committee works to create partnerships between ACVB member restaurants and Atlanta’s hospitality community.
